The Kootenai Tribe is dedicated to protecting and conserving grizzly bears and their habitats by understanding the bears' specific needs and working to preserve critical areas for their survival. The Tribe collaborates with various agencies to coordinate efforts and resources for managing and recovering grizzly bear populations.
